Presenting For Sale
Firstly, remember to follow the golden rule of “less is best” particularly when you’re presenting your home for sale.
But as we all know everyone thinks differently and what one person thinks is impressive could be perceived as ghastly to others.
Of course, this is an extreme example, but the point has been made clear I hope that it is best to keep things as neutral and natural as possible and try to avoid putting your personal stamp on permanent fixtures and features.
Over staging your home for sale can be counterproductive and could even impede a quick sale. Try to keep the furniture to a minimum and leave some room for the prospective buyers own imagination to kick in.
Buyers have their own furniture, and they will decide if it suits the ambiance of the home or not and they could even enjoy the contemplation of buying new furniture once they move in.
Kitchen utensils and bathroom decorative ornaments work well particularly with a splash of colour but avoid using burning aroma scents in the background as this can be annoying to some buyers especially who are sensitive to smells and have allergies.
Finally, it is best to use “less to gain the more” approach so remember to keep everything to a bare necessity and leave just enough empty space for prospective purchasers to imagine their own furniture positioned around the home.
